New garden beds: Planted by our community

17 September 2026

Our new sandstone garden beds are planted. Volunteers spent an afternoon working bee moving soil, planting hardy native Lomandra grasses supplied by the P&C, and spreading mulch. Thank you to everyone who came along to help!

In the July holidays the P&C funded new sandstone garden beds at the school. Students already use them every day to sit, eat lunch and catch up with friends.

On Thursday 17 September, volunteers came together after school to finish them: moving soil, planting hardy, drought-tolerant native Lomandra grasses supplied by the P&C, and spreading mulch.

Thank you to everyone who brought gloves, wheelbarrows and shovels and gave up an afternoon to help.
