This term's academy is a pilot for current BHS students. Training runs at school every Thursday from 22 October to 10 December (8 weeks), starting just after the bell: Session 1, 3:15–4:15pm, is for Years 7 and 8 and is now sold out; Session 2, 4:15–5:15pm, is for Years 9, 10 and 11. Coaching is led by Nathan Burns, a former Australian international with 24 Socceroos appearances and 3 goals, and the 2014–15 Johnny Warren Medal winner with Wellington Phoenix. The program is valued at $160 per student. The P&C is covering half, so the introductory price is $80 for the term. It's a good way to keep skills sharp before football clubs start grading and trials in Term 1 2027, when the P&C plans to run the program again.
